Opportunity:  Nail Technician  Responsible for providing a high standard of nail services, including manicures, pedicures, and long wear gel polish, accurately and thoroughly, in accordance with established protocols and within Connecticut state laws. Improves and updates skills through training programs. Cultivate new guest relationships and ensure retention of existing guests. Displays the highest level of guest service in strict accordance to service standards. Continually meets and/or exceeds service and retail objectives. Reports to Spa Operations Manager with assistance from Nail Technician Lead Essential Job Functions - Provides a full range of nail treatment services, in a precise and accurate manner, following established procedures.   - Holds initial and on-going consultation, emphasizing product/service features and benefits, and encourages guests to purchase products/services appropriate for their needs.   - Provides a full range of technical treatment services, in a quality manner, following established protocol and becomes proficient in new service offerings and improves and updates skills through training programs.  - Perform body treatments on guests using spa protocols and guidelines - Maintains safety standards and cleanliness, keeping work area clean and equipment properly sanitized.   - Demonstrates impeccable guest service while being courteous and attentive to guest needs.  - Maintains a consistent level of sales productivity, retail sales, promotional sales, and guest retention, including participation in promotional activities to build current guest loyalty and/or attract new guests; activities include the provision of complimentary services and educating guests on available promotions & programs (e.g., series sales, retail sales, etc.).   - Takes initiative and action to perfect service knowledge and skills. Attends and participate in training sessions, staff meetings, sales promotions.  - Performs general duties as assigned in a prompt and precise manner. - Provide professional hand and foot nail treatments according to protocols, while maintaining current knowledge of all nail treatments offered by spa. - Maintain high sterilization standards and hygiene according to law and the spa procedures. - Perform duties accurately and timely according to protocols. - Use products appropriately to avoid waste. - Possess knowledge and understanding about different nail conditions and treatments available, along with different nail care products. - Report to management about matters related to guests or staff requiring immediate attention. - Handle concerns of customers professionally and courteously. - Follow hourly and operational checklists in accordance with salon policies. - Attend and participate in all team educational meetings and trainings. - Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.  - Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards. - Perform other duties as requested by management. Position Requirements - Current State of Connecticut Nail Technician License required.  - Previous work experience in a spa environment is a plus. - Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) required. - Ability to work flexible schedules; including operational holidays, weekends, and evenings.
