Essential Job Functions
- Balance the strategy + relationship with multiple agencies (PR + Marketing + digital) and partners bringing to life the Fifth Avenue Hotel.
- Manage and drive overall digital marketing and communications strategies including search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and social media presence (social reputation and social media).
- Be actively involved in ongoing and annual electronic distribution strategy and planning to maximize online revenue and profitability.
- Analyze and report monthly digital performance metrics and broader hotel performance data to stakeholders.
- Support Sales and Revenue Department regarding promotional and tactical marketing, e-Tools, and electronic media.
- Understand the hotels profile and position The Fifth Avenue Hotel as the best in the world.
- Maintain clear lines of communication with property leaders, internet marketing vendors, Revenue Management team members, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Corporate Director of eCommerce to ensure clear scope and project progress.
- Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing communications strategy, based on knowledge of hotel objectives, and market characteristics.
- Prepare and maintain a current annual marketing plan with measurable and specific initiatives detailed to maintain and grow each business segment.
- Formulate, direct, or coordinate marketing activities for the hotel, working with advertising or promotion vendors, PR, social, content writers etc.
- Reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing with a dotted line to the General Manager.
- Plan, direct, or coordinate activities designed to create or maintain a favorable public image of the hotel, including relationships with local community and public officials.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, government officials, and media representatives and use these relationships to develop new business opportunities.
- Act as liaison with public relations vendor to develop press releases, prepare information for media kits, and other public relations issues.
- Evaluate advertising and promotion programs for compatibility with public relations efforts.
- Manage special events to gain public attention through the media.

- Handle all site inspections, media visits, photoshoots, and influence stay/tours events.

Position Requirements
- Four-year college degree preferred.
- Previous hotel sales, PR and marketing experience at a director level required.
- Knowledge of the luxury consumer and understand demographic + reach.
- Strong understanding of traditional and online marketing strategies and tools.
- Content management and web analytics experience a plus.
- Firm grasp of website management required.

Essential Job Functions:
This position involves many aspects of the sales process: selling/closing the business across all segments (Group, Business Travel, and Consortia) and managing/executing the room block / group logistics. You will be part of a seasoned hotel team that will support you and work with you to help ensure that events taking place in the hotel meet and exceed all expectations.
Sales Process
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers, industry organizations and hospitality network to enable future bookings.
- Activities include prospecting calls, outside calls, entertainment, trade shows, participating in industry member organizations, etc.
- Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Executes designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve revenue goals.
- Strives to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
- Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
- Maintains and grows business of existing accounts and identifies and develops new markets.
- Conducts creative, thoughtful, and impactful site inspections.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Executes and supports HHM’s Customer Service Standards and hotel’s Brand Standards.
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
- Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.
- Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
Managing Event Logistics
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., BEO’s, event resume, billing, customer correspondence).
- Greets customer during the event phase and hands off to Operations for the execution of details.
- Ensures hourly associates understand expectations and parameters for guests and group details.
- Ensures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with the clients prior to processing the final bill.
- Participates in customer meetings for assigned groups with guidance from his/her supervisor.
- Identifies operational challenges associated with his/her group and determines how to best work with the property staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions.
- Solicits feedback from the property departments to identify areas for improvement to enhance the Event Planner’s experience.
- Follows-up with customer post-event.
Experience:
- Minimum two years hotel experience is highly preferred (or related hospitality industry)
- Delphi Sales System experience is preferred
- Upscale hotel experience is preferred
- Local area knowledge / experience preferred
Work Environment and Context:
- Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Moderate travel between hotel and client’s locations required.

Reporting to the Treasury Manager, this position’s primary responsibilities will include compiling, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting banking, operational, and financial data within various systems.

Essential Job Functions
- Review, analyze and maintain all daily banking activity for both corporate and property transactions.
- Assist treasury and properties with all bank account reconciliations.

- Assist in weekly/monthly journal entries.

Position Requirements
