Director of Purchasing

Opportunity:   Director of Purchasing

Oversee the operations of a full-service hospitality purchasing and design organization including budgeting, project management, vendor negotiations and brand relations.

Essential Job Functions

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with company core values. 
• Manage a team of 4-7 professionals.
• Organize project work flow and ensure timely completion for clients.
• Oversee all brand submittals and ensure work is being done up to designated brands specifications.
• Work closely with construction team and provide weekly project updates.
• Provide weekly reports to Senior Management on status of all work being performed.

 Position Requirements

• Ability to relocate to Harrisburg, PA Area within 6 months of start date.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, Master’s preferred.
• 5 Years Relative Experience.
• Mastery of Excel is critical.
• Strong background in negotiating vendor contracts.

 Work Environment and Context

• Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
• Requires travel to hotel locations throughout the country.
• Requires travel to sites that are under construction.
