Location: Hotel Nia, An Autograph Collection by Marriott. Menlo Park, CA

Reports Directly To: Director of Sales & Marketing 

Functional Reporting To: Corporate Marketing Team

Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and creative Sales & Marketing Coordinator to support our sales and marketing department in driving brand awareness and promoting our hotel and outlets. This entry-level position will assist with content creation, social media management, event planning, and various marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about hospitality marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media & Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube) including photos, videos, reels, and stories. Ensure consistency in messaging across platforms.
  • Client Inquiries & Sales Support: Handle inquiries from potential clients about meeting spaces, accommodation, and event bookings, providing information to facilitate the sales process. Assist in preparing tailored sales proposals and contracts, services, and terms to secure bookings while coordinating with sales managers.
  • Sales & Media Tours: Support in conducting media and influencer tours, ensuring all necessary information is communicated clearly and professionally.
  • Event Support: Help organize and execute marketing events, both in-house and off-site, to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Website & SEO Management: Assist with maintaining the hotel's website, ensuring it is up-to-date with fresh content, optimized SEO terms, and high-quality images.
  • Vendor & Partner Relations: Support the coordination of marketing efforts with external vendors and partners, ensuring promotional materials are distributed effectively.
  • Marketing Collateral: Help update marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and online ads, etc. ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to building local community partnerships to support promotional efforts.
  • General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support for the marketing and sales departments as needed, including answering incoming calls, scheduling meetings, organizing events, and assisting with campaign execution. Assist with duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field. Internship experience in hospitality or marketing is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube).
    • Basic understanding of SEO, content creation, and website management.
    • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Canva and social media analytics tools.

Work Environment:

  • Work Schedule: Typical office hours with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for events and social media engagement.
