Opportunity: Senior Manager of Benefits and Compensation
This individual will oversee the design, implementation, and administration of our total rewards programs. The role will support a nationwide organization of over 235 hotels from coast to coast and four corporate offices. The individual will be a part of a dynamic HR team and manage a small team.
Working out of the Philadelphia Corporate Office and reporting to the Sr. Director of Total Rewards, the Senior Manager will ensure that all compensation and benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement plans, time off, incentive pay, and employee wellness initiatives, remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with employee and company objectives.

Benefits Focus
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans (401(k) or others), and wellness initiatives.
- Administer the associate health engagement and wellness program; oversee integrated approach with vendors in design and delivery.
- Evaluate and make recommendations to modify benefits policies and programs to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Stay abreast of benefit related federal, state and city legislative reform, including but not limited to ERISA and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and make changes to meet requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with benefit providers, ensuring a high level of service and proper administration of plans.
- Respond to and resolve elevated benefit issues or concerns of associates via relationships with providers to obtain and a quick and appropriate resolution or response.
- Manage the Open Enrollment Process, coding funding rates and associate premiums into the system, setting up who is or is not eligible, conduct conference calls to provide overviews of the benefit options.
- Utilize HRIS (UKG Pro) system to its maximum capacity in terms of communicating and administering benefit programs electronically.
- Develop and prepare benefit materials, booklets, and other media for communicating existing plans and new plans or changes to associates.
- Administer the 401(k) Program and coordinate with auditors on the annual 5500 filing and coordinate with vendor on Non-Discrimination mid-year and year-end testing.
Compensation Focus
- Develop and implement competitive compensation structures, including base pay, incentive plans, and bonuses, aligned with the organization's goals and market trends.
- Administer quarterly and annual incentive programs
- Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure compensation programs remain competitive.
- Analyze salary survey data to recommend adjustments to pay structures and practices.
- Ensure all compensation programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements, such as minimum wage, FLSA, EEO, and pay transparency laws.
- Develop and maintain compensation policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in human resources, business or a related field.
- 6-10 years of prior benefits and compensation experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to organize, analyze, and summarize data.
- UKG experience preferred but not required
Work Environment and Context
- Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
- Occasional travel to other corporate offices and managed properties required.
- Extended work hours may be required during times of peak volume.
