Opportunity: Marketing Coordinator - Branded

The Marketing Associate will assist with coordination and managing the development, production, and implementation of marketing tactics, strategies and related projects associated with the portfolio’s revenue and marketing objectives. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and supports a team of eCommerce and Marketing leaders on the day to day management and execution of eCommerce  and Marketing tactics, strategies, and promotions.

 Essential Functions

  • Work with and support the Marketing Director on all aspects of digital marketing, project and hotel management services.
  • Assist and learn digital advertising, copywriting and editing, search engine and website optimizations, paid search marketing, email marketing, online media campaign management, multi-channel marketing campaigns, etc.
  • Responsible for content management, update and uploads to existing websites – ensuring that they are all current with the latest photography and promotions
  • Responsible for organizing and executing photography and videography projects. 
  • Assist with monthly email deployments, database management and reporting performance.
  • Conduct monthly reporting on marketing production. Analyze data and expenditure for hotels.
  • Assist and support hotel listing, citations and content on various online directories and travel agency websites in partnership with the Revenue Management Department.
  • Monitor social engagement and presence (social reputation and social media).
  • Assist in project life cycle through requirement gathering, design, development, testing and launch.
  • Assist with Internet marketing budget planning and management for ongoing campaigns.
  • Support Sales, Revenue and Food & Beverage Departments regarding promotional and tactical marketing, e-Tools and electronic media.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with property leaders, Area eCommerce & Digital Marketing Manager and Revenue Management team members to ensure clear scope and project progress.
  • Constantly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (conference, workshops and industry events), reading professional publications and maintaining a network of industry players.

Position Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in the field of Marketing, Advertising or Hospitality/Travel degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year’s Internet marketing or eCommerce experience
  • Account Management or Internship experience at a digital marketing/online advertising agency a plus
  • Experience with IHG, Marriott, Hyatt  and/or Hilton systems and marketing programs is a big plus
  • Knowledge of graphic design software like Adobe suite and Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or Canva is preferred.
  • Planning, organizational, copywriting and written communication skills.
  • Must be creative, outgoing, energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to independently organize and complete multiple tasks and projects with great attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Internet research
  • Experience making presentations in front of groups
  • Diligent work habits and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be a team player
  • Knowledge of hospitality/travel industry and technology/marketing solutions a plus
  • Content management and web analytics experience

Work environment and context:

  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends
  • Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard.
