Opportunity:  Door Person

 

Greet each guest in a friendly and professional manner at the front door of the hotel and maintain the appearance of the front door area in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Open vehicle and hotel doors and greet guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Hail taxis as needed.
  • Respond to guest questions and provide information about local attractions, events and daily activities in the hotel.
  • Greet V.I.P. and repeat guests by name.
  • Sweep and mop the floor and outside door area daily to maintain an organized and clean appearance.
  • Maintain knowledge of all emergency procedures, including guest-related responsibilities and evacuation procedures. Assist in the case of an emergency.
  • Perform check-in and check-out calls, involving luggage handling and the escorting of guests as needed.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

Work Environment and Context

  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 75 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
